The Basingstoke Cougars are one of the two recreational teams playing at the Basingstoke ice rink.

The Cougars have been running since 1990 and provide a place for players of all levels from beginners through to ex-league players who would still like to play but are unable to commit to the physical and time demands of playing at league level.

If you would like to play or train with the Cougars please contact us at newcougar@cougarsihc.co.uk. Over 18's only though. We do require full equipment to be worn, including full visors, where required, and request that a basic level of skating has been achieved i.e. being able to stop to one side and some backwards skills. Training sessions cost £12 per week or £31 per month (via standing order). Please drop us a line before coming down to verify that the session hasn't been cancelled at short notice for some reason. Training is on Tuesdays at 22:45 for 1.5hrs.

After the first 2 weeks you must be registered as an EIHA REC player for insurance and for this reason it is necessary to complete the registration form Click Here, bring 2 photo's and a copy of photo ID before being allowed on the ice. Registration is £60 but first 2 weeks training are free.
